Final Photos

ALL PHOTOS WERE TAKEN BY A CANON 1500.

Portrait - Head or Upper Torso

My brother's dog Bear playing in the snow, trying to get around on his three legs. If he jumped too far into the snow, we would have to pull him out, because he would get stuck. No extra settings were used. Cropped and the white balance was set to correct the "gray" snow color.

Portrait - Environmental

Mr. Hiller helping his student in his Digital Photography class on Tuesday, January 12, 2009. No extra settings were used, photo was cropped.

Action - Stopped

Fish swimming in a tank at a fish hatchery during Fall 2008.. There are hundreds of fish in each tank. They are growing until they are ready to be transported to a river for release. No extra settings were used.

Action - Blurred

A duck is trying to dry his wings at a duck pond, owned by a family friend in September, 2008. Doesn't seem to be helping though. No specific adjustments were made.

Action - Panning

A car is hurtling down the road, while we were stopped in October. Panning options were set, fast shutter and large aperture.

Landscape

Mountains near the Detroit Dam. Power lines run down to the river and across to provide power to nearby towns and houses in November, 2008. No specific adjustments were made.

Macro -

A macro shot of a camera holder strap on January 10, 2009. Now, the pattern in the threads can be seen clearly. Macro setting was on, no flash, and not zoomed in.

Alteration -

Eastern Washington celebrates Obama's win. Never mind, the Washington Monument was put in with flags and an Obama sign. This was a landscape of Eastern Washington in November, 2008. No extra settings were used.

Night Shot -

My sister, Tsedenya, walking back up the hill to continue sledding, when there was 18 inches of snow. Night shot mode was selected and zoomed on December 22, 2008.

STEP #2
The light was tricking the camera to change the color temperature of the photo.

Color Temperature:

2: 7000K
1: 8000K

STEP #3
After Photos:

STEP #4
Done
It was more white and generally better than our earlier pictures of it, where it was extremely yellow.

STEP #5
Done
Because the camera was set to 6000 Blue, and so when the camera took a picture that was originally white, but the 6000 Blue turned the photo to really blue. The original picture was taken at 0 Blue, 0 Orange.

STEP #6

It is different because the camera white balance is set to 6000 Blue, and from this photo, the camera was set.

It is different because the camera white balance is set to 6000 Blue from the above photo, while this was already white, and then taken with 6000 Blue.

White Balance

White balance is the process of removing unrealistic color casts, so that objects which appear white in person are rendered white in the photo. Proper camera white balance has to take into account the "color temperature" of a light source, which refers to the relative warmth or coolness of white light.
Pre-made settings in a camera allow the photographer to switch to them, when needed without having to manually set the camera.

Action Photos

Stop Action: a form of animation and allows otherwise lifeless objects to move and change. Otherwise known as a motion picture.
This can happen when you take a picture of a penny, slide it a bit (.5 cm) and then take another picture and repeat and then when all the photos are played in a fast slideshow, the penny looks like its moving.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop-motion#Techniques

Blurred Action: a photo where the subject is clear, but the background is not, because the subject is moving so fast.
Use the Sports action, and focus on the subject. the background should be blurred.

Panning: Where the subject is clear but background is blurred even if subject is still.
Swing the camera just as picture is taken when focus is on subject.

Blurred action is the best way because the subject is moving fast, even if it's the hardest to do.
